New Free Chart – Tantalizing Triangles

In Uncategorized on July 29, 2011 at 9:19 pm

I have added a new free chart for everyone to stitch and enjoy. The free Tantalizing Triangles Cross Stitch pattern was inspired by an office supply! Can you guess which one?

If you stitch any of the free patterns, please be sure to post a photo on Connie Gee’s Designs Facebook page!

Thought for the Week

Stitch your stress away. (Author Unknown)

I like to get to the airport early so I can have a few moments to stitch before I board the plane. It helps with my stress level! I have found that any time I am stressing about life, a few stitches always help to put things to rights or at least to make me feel a little better about things.

Does stitching help you de-stress too?

Halloween Kitty WIP

Design copyright Kooler Design Studio

This is my current project – it is from the Kooler Design Studios Calendar set. I am using DMC floss and DoveStitch Halloween Check Aida in 14-count. I stitched the outline of the kitty’s body so it will be a great portable project. I plan to work on the head soon because it is creeping me out for him to be headless!

What are you working on right now?

All of the top achievers I know are life-long learners… looking for new skills, insights, and ideas. If they’re not learning, they’re not growing… not moving toward excellence.

Stitching the Night Away

In Uncategorized on July 14, 2011 at 6:30 am

Cross stitch supplies, free cross stitch patterns, cross stitch project ideas and more at Stitching the Night Away
Loretta Oliver is the dynamo behind Stitching the Night Away. It is a great online Cross Stitch shop I am happy to recommend. It’s more than a shop though. Loretta offers so much more. She’s also on the cutting edge – she recently offered a fabric calculator app that I would so have if I had a cool phone instead of the clunker I currently own.

Loretta offers a wide range of kits and supplies, but she also has helpful tutorials and free charts too. Visit Stitching the Night Away today!

Free Priority or Option Saying

In Uncategorized on July 13, 2011 at 6:30 am

Design for Personal Use Only - Not to be Kitted or Resold

When I saw this saying on one of my friends Facebook posts, it resonated with me – I have been in relationships where I let people make me an option instead of a priority – and I have also been guilty of making someone an option when they should have been a priority! I strive to avoid both situations now.

Stitch the free Priority or Option Saying design in the floss colors of your choice – I chose red and black because those are my favorite colors.
